"My husband and I have been enthusiastic collectors of paintings and sculptures for over 30 years.
There are several artists whose work we particularly enjoy and so we have kept a close look at the output over a number of years. Shona Nunan and Michael Cartwright certainly come into that catagory. We purchased our first work from Michael around 19990, from a group exhibition of leading Australian sculptors.

Since, we have purchased works from the gallery as well as others we have commissioned. Our collection consists of marquettes as well as major works. The collection is held in our private homes in Australia and the United Kingdom as well as among a sculpture collection in our country garden. We also have works by both Shona and Michael in our group of country house hotels where I notice they often draw praise from our guests.

Shona Nunan and Michael Cartwright are both serious snd dedicated artists who are prepared to take risks in their pusuit of excellence. Their International success is well deserved."

Voyage was commissioned by Jan Clark for their city collection but was later moved to their country property botanical garden. The move was overseen by the artist.

This sculpture, part of the Journey series was first exhibited at Meridian Gallery. The Tower, originally carved all in granite was broken on the way to the exhibition, the artist rebuilt the top in steel. The worked was then purchased for the Lindenderry Hotel at which time the top was cast into bronze

From the Reclining series, this piece was commissioned from a wax marquette and carved in the hills North of Bangkok, Thailand.
This work was also later moved to their country property
